Programme description

Global communications continues to grow in a phenomenal pace. New technologies in wireless and satellite communications and the Internet now have tremendous influence on our daily life. Malaysia has seen enormous growth in the telecommunications sector of its economy. Multinational companies in communications have set up regional offices and factories to provide their services and to carry out manufacturing here. The demand for trained professionals and engineers to support the development and services of communications systems and support services has increased correspondingly. This degree aims to provide you with knowledge and skills in information and communications technology theory and practice covering areas such as wireless and mobile communications and the Internet.

Job prospects

This programme prepares graduates for a challenging career in ICT as a technical professional or a manager to work in the rapidly growing communications industry. You will be positioned to take up job such as Communications Systems Engineer, Communications Network Engineer, IT Systems Engineer or Manager, Project Engineer, Communications R&D Engineer, Technical Manager, Mobile Applications Engineer, Systems Analyst, and Consultant.
